The CityLink network of bus services, provided by Merseytravel, link shopping centres, train and bus stations, tourist attractions and other places of interest in Liverpool city centre. So there'll be no excuse not to explore the many partner venues who are now welcoming cardholders to make savings.
Simply present your upgraded One Card when boarding the CityLink bus services to enjoy travel for just 80p instead of the usual £1.10.
* Only One Cards upgraded via the onecardliverpool.co.uk website will be valid for discounted travel on C services. 08 Cards and non-upgraded One Cards will not be eligible for the discount.

As part of their continued efforts to improve services and the ethos of ‘Putting the Passenger First’, Merseytravel’s Smart Ticketing Initiative will begin the implementation of Smart Ticketing over the next three years to improve the customer experience, delivering a range of new ticketing products across the Merseyside Region.
In summary, the key benefits of Merseytravel’s Smart Ticketing Initiative are:
- Customer convenience – eventually much more choice of what / where / how to buy tickets & Smart Ticketing is quick to use
- Improve the confidence of customers in the public transport network and help to reduce fraud
- Integration with other non-transport applications such as tourism.

To upgrade your card, simply ensure you are logged in to the One Card Liverpool website via the panel in the top right hand corner of the screen and then press the button below to upgrade your card. This will be delivered within 7-10 days.
If you are not logged in or have already requested an upgrade, then this button will not be visible, and your card is/has been processed. You can check on the progress by selecting the My Details, and Upgrade My Card tab. Please note that you will receive a new card, and cardnumber. When your new card arrives, please discard your old card.
